The ongoing saga of the backyard CX19 construction. Started planning in Fall 2009 and started construction in Spring of 2010. The construction is outdoors in/under a tent. No building in the winter and limited building in the summer due to oppressive heat, rain and life. The hull was completed to the primer stage in the Fall of 2011.

CX19 hull flipped and construction continues. We flipped her onto a 'build trailer' in June of 2012 after a very slow to warm up and wet spring. Took the tent down and got the garden back. Glassed the hull in Jun/Jul 2012 (what a job) and the stringers were glassed in by the end of August. Work is suspended for awhile as my fall travel starts up again. Hope to have the frames in before putting her to bed for the winter. This will significantly stiffen the hull and allow me to finish the 'body work' on the outer hull. Starting to plan and install some of the hardware and associated reinforcements (bow and stern eyes, pumps, etc.).
